Reception Decor
If your reception venue has everything you were asking for, accept character, there are many ways you can liven up the surroundings. Here are some tips on decorating your reception location to bring in the style.
- Choose a color or a mood. Odds are you have an idea of both, now its time to make them blend. Once you have an idea of what tone you want to set for your guests, you can add decor accordingly to really bring it all together. If it’s laid back beachy, city chic, or rustic and warm, you can find decor to match your mood.
- The ceiling is also a great place to add some spice. If the ceiling is drab or hideous, you can cover it up by draping fabric, for a luxurious look. Popular styles such as draping from a center point (perhaps a chandelier) for a tented look is a great way to give the location flow.
- Lighting also has a huge effect on the over all mood, so put specific emphasis on that. Whether the venue provides proper lighting, or you need to bring in your own, this will have a big effect on the over all “feel” of the party.
